How this version plays
Aces count 11, face cards count 10, and number cards count face value. Only your best single-suit total counts. Knock instead of drawing on your turn; every other player then gets one final turn. An exact 31 is revealed immediately and ends the round without a knock.
Traditional Lives uses pennies/lives. When your pennies are gone, you are on County: you have no lives left, and one more loss eliminates you. A lone losing knocker loses two lives, while a knocker tied for low is safe in this ruleset. First to Points is an ELH house scoring option: at showdown, you earn one point for each opponent whose hand you beat. Ties do not award a point between the tied players.
